Welcoming the Spring 2018 Class of Fellows
On the evening of Thursday, January 18, 2018, the American Academy welcomed its fortieth class of fellows to the Hans Arnhold Center. Following welcoming remarks by Stephan-Andreas Casdorff, editor-in-chief of Der Tagesspiegel, the spring 2018 class briefly presented each of their projects—ranging from a history of medieval Lampedusa to studies of the Arab anti-sectarianism, from the sounds of migration to the perennial crisis of the humanities. The spring 2018 class will be in residence until June 2018. Learn more about each of the fellows and their projects here.
