Nathalie Peutz - Displacement in the Horn of Africa: Racialization, Migration, and the United Nations
Nathalie Peutz is a cultural anthropologist at New York University Abu Dhabi who has conducted wide-ranging, ethnographic research in Yemen, Djibouti, and Somaliland. In her Academy project, she examines the ramifications of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Global Compact on Refugees in an era of gated nations and shrinking humanitarian spaces, based on ethnographic research in a Yemeni refugee camp in Djibouti between 2016 and 2020.
