Anne Finger is a writer of creative nonfiction and fiction, and an activist for the disabled. She has written about her disability in Elegy for a Disease: A Personal and Cultural History of Polio (2006), and Past Due: A Story of Disability, Pregnancy, and Birth (1990). At the Academy, she’s working on a series of essays about disability in Berlin past and present.
