The Glorias

Based on the life of feminist icon Gloria Steinem, The Glorias (2020) chronicles her journey from her early years in Ohio to her emergence as a leader in the feminist movement and ongoing activism for gender equality. In the film, Steinem reflects upon her experiences and the events that shaped her worldview through a series of flashbacks – starring Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, Lulu Wilson, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong, portraying her at different stages of her life. The movie sheds light on gender inequality, reproductive rights, and the challenges and obstacles Steinem faced as a woman in a male-dominated society, as well as the friendships and alliances that sustained her throughout her life.
