With Burning Questions, Margaret Atwood, “the outstanding novelist of our age” [Sunday Times], recently presented a volume of essays from 2004 to 2021 – a period that included the financial crisis, the Trump era, and the pandemic. With her characteristic brilliant intellect and wry humor, she questions the phenomena of our time. In conversation with poet and essayist Claudia Rankine, she discusses the literary possibilities of the essay genre.
