Politics, the private sphere, and the Cold War. Inspired by her grandmother’s life, writer and spring 2017 Academy fellow Molly Antopol is working on her new novel, The After Party. In discussion with her translator, Patricia Klobusiczky, Antopol tells the story of several fascinating women who have made their ways into her spellbinding narratives. Already in her award-winning debut novel, The UnAmericans, Antopol relayed stories of women who performed a balancing between their European roots and the twentieth-century new worlds into which they were catapulted. Actress Katharina Marie Schubert and Molly Antopol will read from Antopol’s work.
