A Fiction Reading by Adam Johnson

Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Adam Johnson will read from a selection of his recent fiction. In his latest project, Johnson returns to questions key to his previous works: displacement, scarcity, resource distribution, sustainability, social organization, and war. Technology again takes center stage in portrayals of people struggling to live within the dwindling resources of a rich but limited environment. “The question of how narratives cohere around fractured histories,” Johnson writes, “will be one that, as the world adjusts to the consequences of climate change, all writers will have to address.”
