On the evening of January 28, 2020, fellows of the class of 2020, the Academy’s forty-fourth, presented their projects to an invited audience at the Hans Arnhold Center. Welcoming remarks — about Berlin’s wealth of cultural offerings and its many quirks — were delivered by musicologist Mena Mark Hanna, dean of the Barenboim-Said Akademie.
