Gyula Gazdag is a noted director of film, theater, and television, and has served as the artistic director of the Sundance Filmmakers Lab since 1997. His films include A Hungarian Fairy Tale (1987), Stand Off (1989), A Poet on the Lower East Side: A Docu-Diary on Allen Ginsberg (1997). At the Academy, Gazdag is working on a screenplay entitled “Tourist Trip to Hell,” wherein WWI German, French, and British soldiers arise from the forest, join a party of tourists, and go on a surreal journey through time.
