Anne Schuchat is an internist, epidemiologist, and former Principal Deputy Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. At the Academy, she is writing a book drawing on her three decades at the CDC, recounting the agency’s responses to major health crises and reflecting on key advances and challenges in public health.
