David Warsh, a journalist and author from Boston, Massachusetts, is currently the editor and proprietor of EconomicPrincipals.com. Warsh is most known for his columns in the Boston Globe, which appeared from 1983 to 2002. A two-time recipient of UCLA’s Gerald Loeb Award for financial writing, he is a former editor of Forbes and has reported for numerous American publications, including Newsweek and Wall Street Journal. He is the author of three books: The Idea of Economic Complexity (1984), Economic Principals: Masters and Mavericks of Modern Economics (1993), and Knowledge and the Wealth of Nations: A Story of Economic Discovery (2006), which he completed while a fellow at the Academy and has been translated into six languages. A companion edition is due out in 2013. Warsh, a graduate of Harvard College, is a recipient of the J.P. Morgan International Prize in Finance Policy and Economics.
