Annabelle Selldorf founded Selldorf Architects in 1988, an internationally renowned architectural practice based in New York City. The firm works on a wide range of projects from private and commercial residential, to institutional and cultural projects, and public infrastructural buildings, to the prestigious winery for Chateau Haut Brion in France. The firm has particular expertise in the complex requirements of cultural projects, recently completing expansions and renovations at The Frick Collection, The National Gallery London, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. In May of this year Selldorf Architects, along with their partner Studios Architecture, won the competition to design the Louvre Nouvelle Renaissance project. The first major renovation to the Musée du Louvre in nearly forty years, it will provide a new entrance to the Louvre and a dedicated gallery for the Mona Lisa. Other ongoing work includes the Dani Reiss Modern and Contemporary Gallery, a 50,000 sf addition to the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Paris, and the renovation of the Wallace Collection in London.
