The Fall 2017 Class of Fellows
On the evening of Thursday, September 21, 2017, the American Academy welcomed its thirty-ninth class of fellows to the Hans Arnhold Center. The fall 2017 class briefly presented each of their projects—ranging from new works of fiction and projects in alternative publishing to studies of Cold War musical exchange and undercover policing in the United States and Europe. The fellows were welcomed by Jutta Allmendinger, president of the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, with opening remarks by American Academy president Michael Steinberg. (A video of the evening’s presentation is below.)
