American Academy New York Event

Seeking Accountability in the Age of Impunity

In the Academy’s first New York event of the fall season, Deborah Amos and Michael Posner will explore the growing movement to revive the international mechanisms for justice after a long era of legal impunity for war crimes.

Deborah Amos (Axel Springer Fellow, Spring 2022) is the current Ferris Professor of Journalism at Princeton University and a former Middle East correspondent for NPR. Michael Posner is the Jerome Kohlberg Professor of Ethics and Finance at NYU Stern and previously served as Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor under President Obama.
