Live Concert by the Orchestra Academy of the Staatskapelle Berlin

In cooperation with the friends and supporters of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and the support of the American Academy in Berlin, Bayer AG hosts the Orchestra Academy of the renowned Staatskapelle Berlin on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 4 p.m., on the stage of the company’s auditorium in Berlin.

The Staatskapelle Berlin is one of the leading orchestras in the world. In the United States, the American Friends of the Berlin State Opera (https://americanfriendsberlinstaatsoper.org/) have for years been promoting the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.

On the initiative of its general music director, Daniel Barenboim, two-year scholarships have been awarded since the 1997/98 season to familiarize young musicians with the work and everyday life of a top orchestra. Musicians from all over the world are drawn to the Orchestra Academy in Berlin.

During the pandemic, these talents lack the important opportunities to train and consolidate their skills in front of an audience. This is where Bayer aims to help.
