Belonging: Artist as Witness
In this talk, Nora Krug presents examples of her past work, including a trilogy of illustrated books on modern German history and moral reckoning that center on the theme of human behavior in the face of state violence. Krug’s work combines illustration, text, photography, and archival documents to shed light on such topics as Nazi perpetration, authoritarianism, and the war in Ukraine.
