Ulrike Graalfs studied international relations at the University of Pennsylvania and received a dual MA degree from Sciences Po Paris, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, and Universität Potsdam. Prior to joining the Academy in August 2007, she interned at the Federal Ministry of Defense, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AICGS in Washington, DC, and the European Parliament, among others.
