Laura Sager joined the American Academy as a Program Coordinator for Public and Economic Policy in September 2011. During her studies in political science, social anthropology, and sociology in Halle/Saale and Paris, she interned at the international NGO "Society for Threatened People" and at the German Bundestag. Before coming to the American Academy she was Junior Councelor for the Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GiZ), in Cameroun, counseling local NGOs on internal and event management, lobbying, and public relations.
