The American Academy in Berlin Launches New Website
The American Academy in Berlin re-launched its website after six months of close collaboration with the talented programmers and designers of the Berlin-based agency Compuccino. Over the last few years, the Academy's online presence has become an increasingly important aspect of the Academy's public programming and outreach. With the addition of online program registration, a media archive, alumni and distinguished visitor database, and a social media presence, the Academy aims to provide users with information and incentives to get involved in Academy life. To this end, our new site better enables visitors to explore the Academy's offerings, history, and fellowship opportunities.
The new Academy website is touch-optimized for mobile devices, and, if you are accessing from a mobile phone, redirects to a fully mobile site (m.americanacademy.de). The new website also features a more thorough search engine, a complete explanation of all fellowships, distingushed visitorships, and the generous individuals, foundations, and corporations who fund them. For fellowship applicants: an easy-to-use and fully automated online application is forthcoming in spring 2012.
We hope you enjoy using this new site to learn more about the American Academy and its programming as much as we enjoyed putting together the architecture and information for our users. Happy surfing.
