Fellowships / Distinguished Visitorships
The American Academy in Berlin is a private, independent non-profit organization. Support for the American Academy's fellowships and distinguished visitorship programs is provided exclusively by private individual and family foundations and corporate giving. The Academy receives no funding from American or German governments and is registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation in the United States and in Germany. All donations are tax-deductible. Private generosity has enabled the creation and success of our institution, and only private generosity will enable us to sustain our level of excellence into the future.
