The Spring 2017 Class of Fellows

On the evening of Tuesday, January 24, 2017, the American Academy welcomed its thirty-eighth class of fellows to the Hans Arnhold Center. The spring 2017 class briefly presented each of their projects—ranging from new novels and sound experiments to histories of nineteenth-century Romantic opera and comparative literature. The fellows were welcomed  by Manfred Bischoff, co-vice chairman of the American Academy, and by Katharina Lumpp, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ representative in Germany. You can watch a video of the evening here.
